Building a Fossil-Free Future Rooted in Justice, Regeneration, and Liberation

Join Kicking Gas for a panel with local environmental and community organizations, dinner, education on the Just Transition, and a book talk from award winning author Sylvia G. Hadnot on We Have Everything: Future Building. Systems for Sustainability.

Come curious and hungry, leave educated and activated!

This event is an opportunity for individuals and groups to consider how they can participate in action toward a Just Transition to climate resilience. Transition is Inevitable, Justice is Not: A Community & Environmental Justice Discussion and Dinner will be an evening of learning and connection with dinner included in the registration price.

Event schedule:

5:00PM - Doors Open

5:30PM - Panel on Environmental Justice

6:30PM - Dinner + Networking

7:30PM - Just Transition Teach-In 

8:00PM - Dessert + We Have Everything Author Talk and Book Signing

Accessibility:

  • Wheelchair Accessible - two dedicated disabled parking spots

  • On-site parking for 25-30 cars, with overflow nearby

  • Masking optional, masks will be provided

  • Restrooms on site


Getting there:

We always encourage public transportation or carpooling! If you are coming from off-island, here are a few options if you are arriving on foot:

  • Walk from the Clinton ferry terminal: 10 minute walk to/from the Clinton ferry (100 ft climb uphill from the ferry)

  • Take the free Island Transit bus from the Clinton ferry terminal to the Clinton Post Office (5 minute walk between, gently downhill from the post office to the Clinton Community Hall)

  • Contact us if you need more support and we can arrange a car pick up from the Clinton ferry. Email terra@kickgasnow.org
