December Newsletter—Let’s Finish the Year Strong!

While the end of the year is often a time to wind down and reflect, Kicking Gas is still running full steam ahead! As you might have previously seen, we’ve currently raised $42,000 towards our $50,000 necessary goal, with hopes of reaching $60,000 to allow our team members some holiday time off to rest and recover. If you have a few dollars to spare, we would graciously appreciate a donation this Giving Tuesday. Reaching our stretch goal of $60,000 will allow us to close our doors December 22nd through January 2nd, while still paying our team so we can access some of that good time to wind down and reflect that we all need to be sustainable. As a grassroots climate justice organization, we are committed to bettering our community and the planet! In order to sustain our work, it’s essential for people like you to support our mission. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for organizations to be vulnerable in our times of need. Whether you have $1 or $1,000 to give, no amount is too small when providing a donation towards our cause. We look forward to continuing our efforts in the new year!

We can’t wait to show you our newly organized, permanent home once we’re settled in! There will still be opportunities later this month for rePurpose members to drop off hard-to-recycle items at our NEW building at 724 Camano Ave in Langley, WA, starting on Wednesday, December 10th. Directions: Enter the driveway on the left side of the building and park in the parking lot. The drop off center is in the outbuilding behind the main front building. It’s nearly across the street from our previous location at the fairgrounds!
